Process:
1.Model basic neuron body with zspheres and finesse
2.Layer apical and basal dendrites as fibermeshes on top of fibermeshes; i.e. after ‘accepting’ the first level dendrite branches, add fibermeshes to these newest dendrites, and so on.
3.Add dendritic spines as additional FiberMesh layer
4.Light and add materials; render and composite with additional color editing in Photoshop
Note – this process was much more successful than building the entire neuron from zspheres, and was able to achieve a lot more detail!
