I am very pleased to share the development and outcome of the creation of a molecular DNA pendant! It is based on real molecular shape data – not only the familiar double helix but the true bubbly shape the molecules take within the double helix form is represented in this pendant as well. Currently I… Continue reading Making of the Molecular Helical DNA Pendant in Silver

Experimenting with Black Steel Anatomy Pendants
I tried some experiments in a new material – black stainless steel, which, as it sounds, is a dark (though not true black) form of typical stainless steel. There are a couple shots below of both a lumbar pendant and a heart pendant. Of course it gives a darker overall look, which gives a unique… Continue reading Experimenting with Black Steel Anatomy Pendants
Updated heart anatomical model for cufflinks and pendants
It was time to update the 3d sculpted heart! The older version wasn’t awful by any means, but especially now being able to use better digital sculpting tools, improving the heart was being begged for. Below – mock renders of the new heart compared to the older one. Gold mockup: Updates included: double crossing heart… Continue reading Updated heart anatomical model for cufflinks and pendants
Koi / Beta Fish Tail Pendant finished!
Blogged about earlier in the development stages, the silver fishtail pendant has finally come to life! The first trial print was too thin, and the second was done in a white/strong/flexible plastic before investing in the sterling silver material. I’m really in love with this piece – more pics on Etsy!
Inscribed Vertebrae Cufflinks
These little beauts just came in the other day – the inscribed initials came out really well! More pics with the Etsy listing: Inscribed L3 Cufflinks
Peak at Fish Tail Pendant
The patterns on fish tails are lovely, striated, not unsimilar to mushroom gills. Below is a peak ahead of time at a silver fish tail pendant. Take your pick – it could easily be a fancy koi or a beta fish tail! Or something else more abstract. Modeled in ZBrush, rendered in Blender with Cycles.… Continue reading Peak at Fish Tail Pendant
New – Inscribed Cufflinks
New to the shop will soon be the option of adding inscribed initials to items like the lumbar vertebrae cufflinks! This won’t make sense on all objects, but for those with relatively flat surfaces, this will be a fun new option. Some preview renders are below:
Preview for Platelet Pendant
A recent custom request has been really interesting – the customer is interested in a pendant of an activated cluster of platelets in stainless steel. Below are the preview renders and it’s just about ready to go into production! It’s planned for 3.5cm wide on a 24″ gunmetal chain. Modeled in ZBrush, rendered with the… Continue reading Preview for Platelet Pendant

C2 Axis vertebra pendant
Now the C1 atlas pendant doesn’t need to be so lonely! Freshly photographed and made available on Etsy is the C2 Axis vertebra pendant! It lays surprisingly well on the neck, even with the bony dens. I had originally strung it so it hung vertically, like the C1 pendant, but after a bit of experimentation,… Continue reading C2 Axis vertebra pendant
